From June 19th to 25th, Mr. Li Ligong, President of CEC, led a delegation to visit Malaysia and Singapore. On March 19th, the 2024 Conference on International Industrial Cooperation (Singapore) & China's Machinery and Electronics Show were grandly opened at the Singapore Expo Convention & Exhibition Centre. On August 16th, the 7th China-South Asia Expo commenced in Kunming, Yunnan. On July 5th , the open-source desktop operating system "openKylin 1.0" was officially released, marking China’s capability to independently select operating system components and build its own operating systems. openKylin 1.0 would be a domestic open-source operating system developed through open source code contributions from numerous developers. It gathered contributions from 3,867 developers, 74 SIG groups, and 271 enterprises in the community. The operating system would provide fundamental security support for key industries such as government, finance, telecommunications, energy, and transportation—sectors critical to national and public welfare....

On February 3rd , the inauguration ceremony of the International Trading Center for Electronics Components and Integrated Circuits was successfully held in Beijing. The trading center, co-led by CEC and Shenzhen Investment Holdings Co., Ltd., was jointly established with 11 central state-owned enterprises, state-owned enterprises, and private enterprises. With a registered capital of 2.128 billion RMB, the Center would aim to create a new platform for market access for electronics components and integrated circuits companies and products, promoting the integration of upstream and downstream supply chains and industrial clusters....

On November 8th , the 14th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition opened in Zhuhai. As the only military-industrial group from the Greater Bay Area, China Electronics participated in this year’s exhibition, showcasing a comprehensive presentation of CEC’s next-generation defense equipment and military electronic components through a system integration approach with 113 pieces of electronic hardware. The presentation featured three-dimensional videos covering sea and air defense, border control, counter-terrorism and stability maintenance, as well as cyber and electronic warfare.
